Some plumbing problems are bad luck. Most have an underlying cause that’s specific to where you live and how old the house is. Four common ones in Ventura County:
Homes built in the 1950s through 1970s often used galvanized steel or thin-wall copper supply lines. Both fail eventually — galvanized corrodes from the inside, copper develops pinhole leaks. As a neighborhood ages, leaks become more common across the same model home and the same era of construction.
Ventura County’s water carries enough calcium and magnesium that scale builds up inside pipes, water heaters, and fixtures. Over years it narrows pipes, clogs fixture aerators, and shortens the life of any appliance that heats water. A whole-house filtration system with softening can slow it down considerably.
Cartridges in single-handle faucets, flappers in toilets, O-rings everywhere — every moving part in plumbing has a service life. Twenty-year-old fixtures usually need replacement; ten-year-old fixtures often need a part or two.
The flexible braided supply lines to toilets and sinks are usually rated for 5–10 years. When they fail, they fail wide open — usually while nobody’s home. We swap them as preventive maintenance whenever we’re under a sink for something else.

Simple things like clearing a hair clog from a bathroom sink trap, replacing a flapper in a toilet tank, or swapping a faucet aerator are fair DIY projects. Call when there’s water you can’t shut off, when the repair involves the main supply line or sewer line, when there’s an active leak you can’t find, when a fixture is leaking inside a wall or under a slab, when gas is involved, or when the price of getting it wrong is bigger than the price of having us do it right the first time.
We aim to be on-site within 1 to 2 hours of an emergency call during business hours, often faster. A real dispatcher answers 24/7, gives you a real ETA based on the nearest available crew, and walks you through how to shut off water in the meantime if needed.
No travel fee anywhere in our service area — Ventura to Calabasas, Ojai to Goleta. For diagnostic work, we give you a flat price up front for the diagnosis. If you proceed with the repair, that diagnostic fee is typically credited toward the repair. No surprises, no open-ended hourly billing on simple problems.
For straightforward jobs (basic faucet replacement, simple valve work, fixture swap-outs) we can give a ballpark range over the phone. For anything involving diagnosis — a leak you can’t see, slow drains, low pressure, water heater issues — we need to look at it first. We don’t quote sight-unseen on anything where we’d have to guess what’s actually wrong.
Yes. Our workmanship is warrantied, and most parts we install carry the manufacturer’s warranty in addition. Specifics depend on the part and the repair type — we’ll spell it out in writing on the work order before you sign.
Slow drains, dripping faucets, running toilets, and leaking supply stops are the four most common service calls. Aging Ventura County homes also see a steady volume of valve replacements, hose-bib failures, and supply-line pinhole leaks as the original plumbing reaches end of life.

Paradise plumbing are top notch. They were more than I expected, and kept everything in order. Everything thing was so clean and neat when they finished. They installed 3 commodes, and 2 sink faucets and a kitchen faucets. IT was from 10am to 3pm and removed the used the old ones. Also they were so polite and patient and so friendly.
